Ken Mahood, AIA

ken-mahoodKen Mahood cites his Tyrolean heritage, New Jersey upbringing, and a model his uncle made out of toothpicks when he was a boy to explain how he ended up as a senior project manager at Ward + Blake Architects. Though he has been with the firm since 1997, Ken’s architecture career started at the age of four, building floor-to-ceiling skyscraper Lego towers suspended by string, and advanced when he accepted his first architecture job as a draftsman during his sophomore year in high school. A firm believer in context-driven design—whether natural or urban—Ken most enjoys working on place-based community projects such as the Teton County Children’s Learning Center and the Our Lady of the Mountains Church. An avid outdoorsman, Ken is as passionate about design as he is about spending time with his family living the mountain lifestyle.
